Conventional EEG Systems
The term conventional EEG has typically referred to 8 to 19 channels of individually pasted on electrodes. Using collodion to glue on electrodes is both time consuming and a nuisance with its flammable properties and a strong smell. Removing the collodion proves to be even more of a challenge leaving participants reluctant to volunteer again.
EGI is redefining conventional EEG with 32 and 64-channel systems that make recording accessible while maintaining the high degree of scientific rigor you have come to expect from EGI's products.
5 Features that make the Conventional GES 300 system practical
- Quick - In 5 minutes, the HydroCel Geodesic Sensor Net is on the participant and you are recording.
- Accurate - Coverage of 32 or 64 sensors allows you to capture scalp data below the canthomeatal line (CLM).
- Participant Satisfaction - Participants of all ages prefer the comfort and speed of EEGs performed with the unique HydroCel Geodesic Sensor Net. Customers report a higher participant return rate for longitudinal studies.
- Ideal for Special Populations - Fast application and comfortable fit provide painless EEGs and permits data acquisition of hard-to-record adults, children, and infants.
Net Amps 300
The Net Amps is a low noise amplifier that connects EGI Nets to the data acquisition computer to filter, measure, and transfer digitized EEG signals in real time.

• Acquisition: 32, 64, 128, or 256 EEG channels.
• Coupling: DC.
• A/D converter: 24 bits.
• Digital inputs: 16 bits.
• Input impedance: 200 MΩ.
• Sampling rate: up to 20,000 Hz for 256 channels.
• Amplifier noise: 0.7 μV RMS/1.4 μV pp.
• Dynamic range: ±200 mV.
• Precision: 70 nV/bit.
• Common mode rejection: 90 dB.
• Isolation mode rejection: 120 dB.
HydroCel Geodesic Sensor Net (HCGSN) 120
Comfort: EGI's HCGSN 120 does not require any scalp preparation or abrasion making it ideally suited for special populations.
Fit: With sizes ranging from infant through adult and configurations for 32, 64, 128, and 256-channels, researchers can find the right fit for their participants and their budget.
Uses: The HCGSN 120 is available for both short (1-2 hour) and long (12-24 hour) recordings. Use the HCGSN 120 for upright or recumbent recordings with saline-based or gel-based electrolytes.
Design: The unique soft pedestal design of the HydroGel Hydrating Skin Interface Chamber® creates a sealed microenvironment, hydrating the skin and creating an interface between the skin and the electrode. |
